About Us

We're Cartagram, LLC. We began producing digital custom maps over 15 years ago.

Our clients include tourism agencies, chambers of commerce, book and magazine publishers, museums, advertising agencies, and realtors.

We also self-publish our own maps. Our new hometown map of Madison features an attractive map on the front and a comprehensive layout of information on the back designed to appeal to residents and newcomers. The map has proven very popular.

What We Do

We build maps from geographic (GIS) data in software that knows how to make them appealing and professional.

Our Tools

We rely on Avenza MAPublisher and Manifold GIS to work with shapefile data. When needed, we supplement GIS data with custom data from our clients. Then we work directly in Google Maps or Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to generate maps.

Really, every map is unique and so is the workflow to take it from data to print or web.

Design Philosophy

When a map engages a mind, we call that an "interactive map." It doesn't need the latest bells and whistles--it just needs good design and clear information.

And that's where we come in.

Basically, that's our job.
